Rules & Regulations

1. The grounds will be cleared of decorations twice a year. May 1 and Oct 1. Please remove any items you would like to keep before these dates.


2. No trees or shrubs shall be planted on the cemetery grounds. St Stephen reserves the right to remove any existing shrub, bush or tree that is deemed unsightly or dangerous.


3. Please note that no glass of any kind is permitted in the cemetery.


4. Any unsightly, hazardous or uncared for flowers , containers, wreaths, urns, etc., will be removed without notice at the discretion of the caretakers.


5. During the grass mowing season (May 1-Oct 1), pots should be placed at the ends of the monuments during grass cutting season to accommodate grass cutting and trimming.


6. St. Stephen Cemetery assumes no responsibility for misplaced or missing pots, urns, flags, etc., which owners place in the cemetery at their own risk.


7. Please note that plantings and/or decorations are not permitted to protrude outside the immediate foundation/marker area. Which is the area the length and the width of a headstone and directly below the same. Such protrusions that hinder the routine maintenance and lawn care of the cemetery will be removed without notice. Border materials that can catch in the mower and cast can cause injury or damage to monuments and are prohibited.


8. Shepherds hooks are permitted. Please place them alongside the monument so as to not interfere with mowing/trimming.


9. No decorations of any kind should be placed on the face of the Columbarium or Mausoleum. Please place flowers at the ends of the structures. Please respect the rights of all those in the same column as your loved one.


10. All work done in the cemetery will be done by the employees and contractors under the direction of St. Stephen Church.
