On the last Wednesday of every month, an hour of praise and worship takes place in the Daily Chapel of St. Stephen's Church 2100 Baseline Rd. Grand Island, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Refreshments are served in the Hospitality Room afterward.
Geared to all ages, from children to senior citizens, the hour includes songs of praise lead by members of St. Stephen’s music ministry, reading of Psalms, drama lead by youth, and short testimonies of God’s power working in the lives of his people.
Words for songs are projected on a screen for easy viewing. Children and teen are especially encourage to participate. Streamers and flags are available for them to waive during appropriate songs. A prayer basket is always available for petitions. These are prayed for by the prayer group for the rest of the month. A prayer team is available for anyone who would like personal prayers.
Our pledge as a nation is “Under God”, and our coin states in “God we trust”. In this time of unrest in our country, this is an excellent opportunity for Christians to unite for an hour to show honor and gratitude to our Lord, whose protection and grace we seek. Participants are free to worship in whatever style is comfortable for them, whether it is with raised hands, clapping, or just sitting quietly. All are welcome, BRING A FRIEND !
